Simchat Torah

Our Family Celebration will be held this year on Monday October 5th at 6:00pm.  Ha’kafot:  Singing and dancing with the Torah, eat jelly apples! Click HERE for a full schedule of holiday events.

Sukkot is followed on day 8 by Shemini Atzeret which marks the beginning of the rainy season in Israel.  Shemini Atzeret is followed on day 9 by Simchat Torah which marks the completion of the annual cycle of weekly Torah readings.

Simchat Torah is celebrated in the synagogue with lots of spirited singing and dancing.  Congregants joyfully carry the Torah scrolls around the sanctuary.  Following Simchat Torah, the cycle of Torah readings begins anew with the first chapter of Genesis.

Join us for services and Family Celebration, then bring your young children this Saturday and learn about the holiday of Simchat Torah.
